The procedure for an unshaved hair transplant differs from a standard FUE in the preparation. Instead of shaving the entire donor area, our team separates small sections of hair and works in these "windows". The surrounding hair conceals these areas immediately after extraction.

The unshaved hair transplant demands exceptional expertise and precision. Our surgeons use extremely fine punch needles of 0.6–0.8 mm diameter to work between the hairs without damaging them. Extraction follows a checkerboard pattern so that the surrounding hair optimally conceals the extraction sites.

In the recipient area, we work with the same level of care. New channels are positioned between the existing hairs so as not to disturb their growth. This takes more time but guarantees a natural result with maximum density.

The unshaved hair transplant can be combined with different techniques – both classic FUE and DHI. With Unshaven DHI, grafts are placed directly between the existing hairs using the Choi pen, enabling even more precise results.

During the first few days you should avoid direct contact with the treated areas. Slight swelling may occur but usually subsides within 2–3 days. The transplanted hairs will fall out after about 2–4 weeks (shock loss) and new growth begins after 3–4 months.
